About ME...
Just a guy who grew up in northern Ontario, Canada taking photos... Started with my dad's Zeiss Ikon Contina until he bought me my first SLR when I was in high school (a Ricoh KR5 Super).
Now many years (decades) later, I am rediscovering my enjoyment of getting out and taking photos.
After many years of living in southern Ontario (most recently in Alliston), I have now moved back north to Sault Ste Marie, and am looking forward to getting out to enjoy and photograph the beautiful scenery in this part of the world.
We have also travelled across Canada and the US, visited Finland, and toured the Ring Road in Iceland.
I generally prefer landscape and nature photography, but am trying to include more photos of small towns and buildings. I have realized that I am more of a landscape photographer, and that photos of people are not my strength, so they are usually not a major feature in my photos.
Although most of my photos here were taken with various digital cameras, I am increasingly getting back into shooting with vintage film cameras and lenses.
