Why Are We Here?
I thought I would write a short explanation of why we are doing what we are doing. Why are we in Ukraine? What is the point?
To put it simply, we are trying to live our lives the way we feel Jesus wants us to live.
We are missionaries in Ukraine, but we are not involved in “church planting” or typical “evangelisation” efforts, but instead we are trying to live in a more missional fashion.
We see following Jesus as more about “being” the hands and feet of Jesus in this world, and less about “inviting people to church”.
We are trying to help the children in the orphanages, as they graduate from the orphanages, and we are also trying to do what we can to help others like our friends at Shelter+ who are trying to reach the kids that the traditional church is completely missing.

A brief quote from “Friend of Missional”:
“Jesus told us to go into all the world and be his ambassadors, but many churches today have inadvertently changed the “go and be” command to a “come and see” appeal. We have grown attached to buildings, programs, staff and a wide variety of goods and services designed to attract and entertain people.
