Another Update – July to August
What’s been happening since we got back from Canada… Dorm renovations, the start of a new “ministry”, a new van, birthday parties…
Dorm Renovations and more…
A team from Petrolia, Ontario was here for a couple of weeks. They visited the various orphanages, the children’s hospital, and also worked on some renovations at one of the dorms that the kids from the orphanages live in during “technical school” (after they graduate from the orphanage).

A New Ministry
Together with Eleanor, we have decided to move ahead with developing a structure to try to get more help for the kids that graduate from the orphanages. One of the things we want to do is to find local Ukrainians to work as “mentors” for some of these kids. We have decided to hire Natasha to co-ordinate and help us in these efforts. Natasha is a qualified teacher, and has worked in one of the local boarding schools for a number of years. She has a real passion for helping these kids.
