It’s been a while…

I just realized that it’s been a while since I updated this site. It is now the end of July, and my last posting was in April. Sorry!

Anyway, there have been a few small changes in our life. We are now back in Canada (we flew back May 4th), and are currently living in Barrie, Ontario.

We still own a house in Ukraine, and our friends Roma and Natasha are living there (along with their son Andrey). They are continuing to work with the orphans…

As for us, it’s been a bit of a culture shock coming back to Canada. We brought our dog and cat back with us from Ukraine as well. They seem to like Canada!

If anybody out there is interested in knowing more about our work with the orphans, about what it’s like to live in Ukraine, or anything else, just ask!

Music and another Birthday

Yesterday (Saturday) was another busy day here. We had a number of kids here from the orphanage for band practice/music lessons.

Dave Miller moved here a little over a month ago from Canada. He was working with the new musicians at our house yesterday afternoon.
A couple of kids also learned how to ride bicycles while they were here as well…

It was also Dima’s birthday, so we had a cake for him after lunch, and in the evening I took the older kids to the football (soccer) game.

Thanks Webb!

A number of “Missional” Bloggers are accumulating a list of “under-appreciated” missional blogsites. Webb Kline added this site to the list. Thanks, Webb!

This site is really a record of our “adventures” here in Ukraine, in photos and in short articles, as we try to help the orphans and youth in this country.

I have started a separate blog here with some of my thoughts and ideas about church, religion, following Jesus, and living a “missional life”.
